Housing the outcomes of the Data Power conferences.

the project

The first Data Power conference was held in 2015 at the University of Sheffield, organised by Helen Kennedy, Jo Bates and Ysabel Gerrard. With its third event coming up, Helen came to us for a new website. The site was to become an archive for the conferences, past and future - to be a platform to record the event and its contributors, share videos of the talks and resulting publications.

work done

  • design of identity, inspired by past conferences' graphics
  • site design with conference-specific colour scheme
  • development of custom admin functions for easy updates
  • WordPress theme build, setup and configuration

I have worked with eyedea studio on a number of web design projects over the years and have always been delighted with the results and the process.

Helen Kennedy, project leader
  1. planning

Content in hand from past conferences, Helen already had a clear plan for the structure of the site and its content. We discussed details and design work began.

  2. work cycle

Progress was swift as we had all content to date in hand. Design was presented as WordPress prototype, and was completed after only a few iterations.

  3. launch

The site was launched featuring three conferences, in time for the 2019 conference, ready to be introduced to its audience.
